Modern vibratory rollers are equipped with advanced leveling control systems: Double-roller vibratory rollers can eliminate the accumulation of mixtures through vibration; Tire-type rollers use the distribution of multiple wheels and the flexible "pressing" effect of rubber tires to smooth out road marks. By adopting a reasonable combination of compaction techniques, the smoothness of asphalt roads can be controlled within 3mm/4m, effectively reducing fuel consumption by 10%-15%. 

3. Enhance road durability: The dense structure can effectively prevent water penetration, reducing deformation and cracking caused by rainfall or heavy loads. Hydrostatic roller 

Working principle: It exerts continuous static pressure on the material by its own weight, without the need for vibration or impact force. 

Applicable features: Uniform compaction, without disturbing the material structure. It is highly suitable for materials that are sensitive to vibration or for construction areas such as urban roads, above pipelines, asphalt surfaces, etc. 

Advantages: Simple structure, easy maintenance, and the surface is flat after compaction. 

Limitation: The compaction depth is limited, and it is not suitable for large thickness fill layers. 

Usage suggestions: Suitable for applications where vibration control is required and where the surface layer needs to be finely compacted.

2. Vibratory Road Roller 

Working principle: Utilizing both high-frequency vibration and mechanical weight to achieve deep compaction. 

Application features: Particularly effective for compacting granular materials (such as sand and gravel), adjustable amplitude and frequency, suitable for various compaction requirements 

Advantages: Deep compaction, high efficiency, suitable for most foundation projects 

Limitations: High vibration and noise levels, not suitable for construction in areas sensitive to vibrations.

3. Tire-type roller (rubber-tired roller) 

Working principle: Uniform compaction is achieved through the flexible kneading action of multiple inflatable tires. 

Application features: Particularly suitable for the final compaction operation of asphalt mixtures. It can effectively smooth out the tire tracks on the road surface. The air pressure can be adjusted to adapt to different materials. 

Advantages: Compact and flat, with a beautiful surface, and no obvious signs of compaction. 

Limitations: Not suitable for deep compaction, has poor adaptability to complex foundations 

Usage suggestions: Applicable to urban roads, bridge decks, and the final round of compaction for asphalt surface layers.

4. Impact-type roller 

Working principle: Through the high-speed movement of the polygonal steel wheels, periodic impacts are generated, achieving the effect of deep compaction and breaking down the old structure. 

Applicable features: This machine can perform both compaction and crushing functions. It has a large compaction depth and is suitable for heavy loads or complex geological conditions. 

Advantages: Strong penetration, high compaction efficiency, suitable for high-fill areas or special foundations 

Limitations: High impact force, significant influence on adjacent structures, high construction noise 

Usage Suggestions: Applicable to foundation improvement projects of airport runways, embankments with high fill, and large industrial bases, etc.


5. Hand-pushed roller 

Working principle: A small manual road roller, often used in areas with limited space. 

Application features: Capable of entering narrow areas for construction flexibly, suitable for small-scale repairs or edge area compaction. 

Advantages: Lightweight and portable, easy to operate, highly adaptable 

Limitations: Limited compaction capacity, not suitable for thick layers or heavy-load structures 

Usage suggestions: Suitable for sidewalk applications, trench backfilling, garden paving, and small-scale municipal repairs, etc., for precise operations.
